News New project: IT networking training for refugees.

Disaster Tech Lab is proud to announce our latest project as part of the refugee crisis response; an IT networking course for refugees!
With the majority of refugees spending longer periods in the camps across Greece while awaiting the results of their asylum application there is an increased need for programs offering them ways to spend their time productively. Building on our work in the last 17 months installing WiFi networks in a large number of camps we are now running an IT networking course for refugees with a background in IT.
The course will allow the participants to refresh their existing skills or learn new ones. They will learn how to plan, build and support WiFi networks. At the end of the course successful participants will receive a certificate.
For this project we are working together with “Do Your Part” (the NGO running the location) and Cambium Networks (who is providing the WiFi equipment).
Location is Oinofyta Camp North-East Athens.
Date for the course is late April.

My name is Mani Raissdana and Im MikroTik, Ubiquiti and Cambium Certified Trainer,
I have had hundreds of training sessions in Africa specially during the Ebola Response, with cooperation of American NGO in Nigeria, Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone,
My training sessions are from the very basic level up to the engineering level, and all are Official (Certified), means they will be able to be officially certified if they could pass the exam successfully,
