Evert Bopp is the founder & chief executive officer of Disaster Tech Lab. He has over 20 years’ experience in business development and has dedicated the last decade to developing and implementing innovative technologies for disaster response and humanitarian aid.
As the driving force behind Disaster Tech Lab, he has orchestrated swift responses to natural and humanitarian disasters in various countries. His specialism is in providing communication services and internet access to affected areas.
Evert is also the investment director in the telecommunications sector, where he focussed on acquisitions in the mobile space.
Evert is the recipient of the Da Vinci Award from Humanity Road. He was awarded a Certificate of Recognition from FEMA, and received the SSPI Better Satellite Global Humanitarian Award in 2016.
Jennifer Loughridge is a senior executive with nearly 20 years of global finance experience in the energy sector.
She founded Loughridge Transformations, a consulting business specializing in strategy and transformation. As principal consultant, she works with clients in various sectorsfocusing on finance, procurementand IT transformation, ESG, continuous improvement, digitalizationand human behaviors.
Jennifer’s board experience includes serving as a non-executive director at the International School of Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago.
She holds a master’s degree in Politics from the University of Edinburgh and is an accredited practitioner in Accelerating Implementation Methodology.
Jennifer lives in the Netherlands and is originally from Scotland. She has lived and worked in Aberdeen, London, Oslo, Köln, and Port of Spain during her professional career.
Tom Vazdar is a cybersecurity expert, program leader and founder of Riskoria Advising & Professional Services Ltd.
His experience in the financial and manufacturing sectors has positioned him as a leader in risk management, policy development, and compliance.
Tom’s early involvement in disaster relief in Croatia, combined with his leadership roles as chief security officer and crisis manager for a leading bankhas given him a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced in both cybersecurity and disaster management.
Antoaneta Ignatovska has more than 20 years leadership experience in finance and executive positions OLX/Prosus, NBCUniversal, Uber and Booking.com.
She is passionate about helping vulnerable communities worldwide and combining it with innovation in disaster response and humanitarian aid.
Antoaneta is FCCA (Fellow Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK) and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor, IIA USA).
She has an MSc in Accounting and Control from VU Amsterdam and IDP from INSEAD.
Justine Powell is a media and entertainment industry leader with over 25 years of
experience driving growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships. She has held senior roles at some of the world’s most respected organizations, including the BBC, CNBC, Handelsblatt, Viacom International, and the Associated Press.
At Signa Sports United, a newly listed company on the New York Stock Exchange, Justine led the communications department, establishing its media function. As managing director of Handelsblatt, she oversaw the English edition of the renowned German business news publication.
Justine holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Bristol and a master’s from University College London. She is currently pursuing an MSc at Rotterdam School of Management.
Bilingual in English and German, she has a deep understanding of the European, UK, and US media landscapes. After living in London for over 20 years, she relocated to Berlin in 2017.
Sana Bardawil is corporate communications professional with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa.
Sana is active in various organizations, including serving as co-chair and board member of the Arab International Women’s Forum (AIWF) and is anhonorary committee member of the International Business Women’s Group (IBWG-Abu Dhabi). Sana is an ambassador for the United World College Maastricht’s female empowerment initiative. She co-leads Shell Alumni Network’s NGO & Charity chapter and is part of the Organizing Committee for the International Friends of the Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague.
She spent a decade as a UK-based journalist before being appointed as communications advisor with the European Commission in Beirut. She followed this role with a 17-year stint at Shell, working in several countries – during her tenures, she managed crisis and emerging issues, particularly during the Arab Spring.
Sanahas a bachelor’s degree from the American University of Beirut, amaster’sin Modern Middle East Studies from Oxford University, and a recent master’s degree in Digital Humanities from Leiden University.
She is fluent in English, Frenchand Arabic. She lives in the Netherlands.
Siri Emilie Oldervik is a social impact and international development professional with a focus on humanitarian projects and programs,
Her current role is as project manager at International Development Ireland, where her focus is on government projects within emerging economies, predominantly in the Middle East.
Siri also serves as the head of fundraising for Donorium, a tech-for-good NGO based in Romania and as the financial secretary of the International Youth Committee (IYC) of the International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations (IFBDO).
Siri’s expertise lies in organizational development, emergency response, advocacy, fundraisingand project management.
Siri’s academic journey has taken to institutions in Norway, Canada, and South Africa.
Samantha Wolhuter is brand strategist and runs her own brand agency. Her projects have spanned collaborations with a technology agency in Amsterdam, a business development consulting firm in the US, and an investment firm in Canada.
Samantha has 18-years’ experience in brand and marketing. She previously worked at Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and TBWA.
She also works in a leadership capacity at TEDxCape Town, where her travels as a digital nomad across 60 countries has influenced her work.
Beyond branding and marketing, Samantha’s passion for AI has led her to explore its implications for society. She has written about AI regulation, its impact across various industries and the transformative potential it holds for the future.
Outside of work, Samantha has a strong commitment to community service where she blends her business acumen with a drive for positive societal impact.
