Hurricane Sandy Needs.

Following is list of our urgent needs in regards to our hurricane Sandy disaster response.

• Qualified volunteers: we URGENTLY need more (wifi) network engineers who can assist in installing, configuring and supporting our equipment. Our current manpower resources are severely overloaded and we need new volunteers ASAP! Locations are Queens, Brooklyn & Staten Island. You will need to have experience in building wifi networks! If you can volunteer for one day or more please contact us via email.
• (WiFi) networking hardware: We are rapidly using up our current hardware stores and while we are receiving more supplies we still need more. What we currently need most are: POE switches (8-port), Cat-5 cabling (and connectors) & various types of WiFI hardware (routers, AP’s, antennas etc.).
• Fundraising: You can also make a financial donation which will allow us to cover our operating costs. Remember, ALL our volunteers are working unpaid! You can donate securely online here.
• Support volunteers: We have a need for people willing to spend a few hours online assisting us in carrying out general admin work. This can all be done online. If you want to assist in this please email us.
